She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Carney Barefoot and Mary Viola Tew Barefoot; her husband David Franklin Coleman, Jr.; her son Randy Franklin Coleman; and her siblings, Trelloe Claire Tart and Hilton Rudolph Barefoot.

She is survived by: her daughter Dava C. Coleman; her granddaughter Kendal C. Padgett; her great grandchild James Coleman Padgett; and her sisters, Judy Bradshaw and Janet Barrett of Dunn, NC..
