She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Coats and Lola Coats; and her sons, Barry and Gary Dorman. She is survived by: her husband Sidney Dorman; her children, Scott Dorman (Melanie) of Dunn, Joe Dorman (Taina) of Dunn and Jane D. Jeffreys of Goldsboro; and her grandchildren, Kyra Dorman, Alex Dorman (Heather), Chris Dorman (Christy), Andrew Dorman (Harper), Johnathon Dorman (Paige), Morgan Norris (Matt), Ashleigh Mobley (Michael), Lexi and Graysen Jeffreys. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Skinner & Smith Funeral Home (905 Erwin Rd, Dunn, NC 28334). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Antioch PFWB Church of Erwin (559 Antioch Church Rd, Dunn, NC 28334).
