He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis Marvin and Emma Bunch Elmore; and his brothers, Major John B. Elmore and Marvin Bunch. He is survived by: his wife Lois Ward Elmore; his children, Ottis Ashford Elmore Jr. of Charlotte and Kimberly Elmore Jackson; his son-in-law Robin Don Jackson of Midway; his granddaughters, Hollee Ashdon Jackson (Bug) and Anslee Madison Jackson (Baby); his siblings, Dorothy Tart Coats of Dunn, Loucindy Elmore Jernigan of Dunn, Dwight P. Elmore (Pansy) of Godwin, Dr. William Claudius Elmore (Victoria) of Hope Mills, Donald E. Elmore (Tonia) of Memphis and Ronald S. Elmore (Ann Marie) of Raleigh; and his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Farmer Elmore, Ann Worthington Elmore and Kathy Trotter Elmore. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
