He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Ivey and Ada Ivey; his brothers, Woodrow Ivey, Angus Ivey and Gardner Ivey (Wilton); his grandchildren, Thomas Christopher Ivey and Madison Elizabeth Ivey; and his sister-in-law Retha Godwin Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Barefoot; his son David Christopher Ivey (Karen); his granddaughter Kristen Elizabeth; and his friend Bobby Baird (Doris). He is also survived by numerous extended family members, including nieces, nephews, and great-nieces; cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beulah Baptist Church in Benson.
