He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his children, Paul of Dunn, NC, Terry (Georgia) of Dunn, NC, Apostle Kenneth (Apostle Regina) of Dunn, NC, Martin (Nicole) of Dunn, NC and Betsy; his siblings, Pricilla McLamb (Clayton), Pearlena Whitted (Johnnie), Elaine Oates (Hosea), Brenda Cooper (Amos), Bernie Darden (Glen), Rev. Eloise Godwin (Pastor Thaddeus), Jesse Gainey, James Gainey (Jean), Leemon Gainey, Cleveland Gainey (Charlene), Nathaniel and Lucille Robinson; his siblings-in-law, Julia Gainey, Ernestine Gainey and Edward McKoy; and his aunt Martha L. King. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.
