She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Elmo Goodwin and Maverine "Coot" Smith Hudson; her husband Luke Grady Nance; her sons, Don Walter Hudson and Larry Larman Hudson; her granddaughter Lori Lynn Hair; her aunts and uncles, Martha "Dunk" Gibson, Omie Barefoot, Sally Goodwin Barnes, Donald Smith, Arthur Goodwin and Johnny Goodwin; and her sister Wilma Goodwin Herring.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Hudson Hair (Ricky) of Linden and Elaine Hudson Friedrich of Apex; her grandchildren, Ricky Lee Hair, Jr., Taylor Paige Parrish, Tara McKennzie Parrish, Sterling Cole Friedrich and Caroline Jenna Friedrich; her cousins, Cindy Aull and Peggy McLeod; and her close friends, Alice Hairr, Ruby J. McNeill, Wendy Beasley, Barbara Marllory, Phyllis Ferrel, Goldie Byrd and Mercedes Webb.
