She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Williams and Ardell Carpenter Williams; her husband John Robert Ridenhour; and her children, Billy Joe Ridenhour, Jay Bruce Ridenhour, Cille Ridenhour and Betty Jean Whitley.
She is survived by: her children, John Robert Ridenhour, Jr. of Dunn and Johnnie Carol Holder of Durham; and her brothers, S. P. Williams of Durham and Albert Williams of Wake Forest. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
