She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Watson and Mirtice Morris Watson; her husband Gerald Bass; her son Jerry Bass; and her siblings, Roger Waston, Barbara Toler and Patsy Clayton.

She is survived by: her children, Crystal Weaver (Dwight) of Dunn and Randy Bass (Judy) of Willow Spring; her sisters, Celia Sasser (Sherwood) of Dunn, June Creech of Middlesex and Sylvia Weeks of Alabama; and her sister-in-law Shirley Kennedy of Clinton. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
