She was predeceased by: her parents, John K. Lee and Mabel Louise McLamb Lee; her brother Donald Ray Lee; and her granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth McQuade. She is survived by: her husband William "Billy" Massengill, Sr.; her children, Gail Adams and William Massengill, Jr.; her grandchildren, Brittany Summers, Maria McQuade, Caroline Massengill, Jonathan McQuade, Thomas McQuade and Will Massengill; and her great grandchildren, Claxton Summers and Robert McQuade.
