He was predeceased by: his parent Jerry Wayne Byrd, Sr.; his former wife Vicki Ann Byrd; his grandparents, Norman and Leonie Wilkins; and his brother Dariel Higgins.
He is survived by: his parent Frances Wilkins Byrd; his brother Steve; his nephew Alan; his wife Tina Wilson of Dunn; his child Keegan Wilson; his stepchild Sharona Stokes; his grandchildren, Kaden Wilson and Alana Stokes; and his siblings, Knioka "Okie" Higgins of Dunn and Steven Byrd. He is also survived by 4 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews.
