He is survived by: his wife Emily Lucas; his sons, Scott Lucas (Amanda) of Plain View and Timothy Lucas (Michelle) of Plain View; his stepson Everett Hefner Jr. of Asheville; his siblings, Larry Lucas (Becky) of Plain View, Ruby Paul (Lee) of Benson and Linda Meltin (Gary) of Goldsboro; his grandson Timothy Jack (Lucas); his stepgrandson Bradley Hefner of Waynesville; and his great grandchild Kaycie Ailana Hefner.
