He is survived by: his father James Robert; his children, Sheri Denton of Dunn, Michelle Barefoot of Dunn, Shelton Barefoot, Jr. (Ann) of Benson and Darrell Barefoot (Shanna) of Coats; his grandchildren, Brian Smith, Franklin Shelton Barefoot, III, Jonathan Barefoot (Taylor), Courtney Barefoot Haskins (Jason), Haley and Emily Barefoot; and his great grandchildren, Savannah, Piper Smith and Carson Barefoot.
