He is survived by: his children, Sherri Moss of Dunn, NC, Kimberly Alston of Dunn, NC, Drexel L. Horne of Raleigh, NC and Alexander Mercer of Wilson, NC; and his stepmother Eloise Alston of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
