It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Wood Barbour of Dunn, North Carolina, who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William James and Nancy Beasley Wood; her husband Charles Barbour; her brothers, James Wood, Jr. and Aaron Wood; and her siblings-in-law, Allie Ann Wood, Fleta Wood and Hardison.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Barbour of Elkin and Darlene Jernigan (Perry) of Coats; her grandchildren, Justin Jernigan (Erin), Tiffany Smith (Robert), Joshua Jernigan (Haley) and Jonathan Barbour (Brittney); her great grandchildren, Grace Jernigan, Lucas Jernigan, Aurora Rose Smith, Nicholas Barbour and Isabella Snow Smith; and her siblings, Bobby Wood (Judy) of Erwin, Danny Wood (Gail) of Dunn and Mozelle Hardison of Benson.
