She is survived by: her stepmother Thelma Raynor; her daughters, Melanie McAlpine of Mooresville, Dr. Mary Marvin Johnson of Austin and Jennifer Lane Donahue of Myrtle Beach, SC.; her sister Linda Raynor Parker of Raleigh; her grandchildren, John Robert McAlpine (Mac), Cornelius, Kathleen McAlpine of Mooresville and Adams Marvin Johnson of Huntersville; her great grandchildren, Cooper and J. R. McAlpine; her cousins, Janet Johnson, Cindy Bagley Camille and Gwen Collins; and her caregivers, Christine Sumes, Santosha Taylor, Jeanette Wilson, Ann Elliott and Stephanie Douglas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
