David Vernon Prince Obituary

We bid farewell to David Vernon Prince of Dunn, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 28, 2024 at the age of 92. David Vernon touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Louise Walker Prince; his parents, Clyde Vernon Prince and Ollie Matilda Rockwell; his brothers, Arvin Wayne Prince and Ronnie Gale Hardwick; his children, William Vernon Prince and Katherine Yvonne Williams; his grandson Clinton David Williams; and his great grandchild Thaddeus David Burke.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Prince McLawhorn and Darren Prince (Wanda); his daughter-in-law Jana Prince; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Williams, Brandy Williams Brannon (Terry), Amanda McLawhorn Burke, Zachariah McLawhorn (Bridgette), Tiffany Prince, Robert Prince, Megan Prince Stephens (Joey), Mindy Prince Streigold (Phil), Damian Prince and Ethan McLawhorn; his great grandchildren, Hannah Taylor, Aiden Williams, Morgan Williams, Harper Burke, Zebulon Burke and Maelie Stephens; and his siblings, James Bobby Prince, Edward Dean Prince and Bonnie Kay Prince. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM and on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM. The military honors was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Leslie United Methodist (277 Stewart Rd, Dunn, NC 28334). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024.
