She was predeceased by: her parents, W. E. Vann and Ida W. Vann; her husband Marvin B. Barefoot; her siblings, Celesta V. House, Elsie V. Williams, Geneva V. Hall, Jeanette V. Potter, James R. Vann (J. R.) and William C. Vann (Cletus); and her granddaughter Christy Barefoot.
She is survived by: her children, Sue B. Altman (Bobby) of Dunn, Sharon B. Brock (Bobby) of Eastover, Marvin V. (Marty), Terry B. Brewington (Keith) of Dunn and William C. (Clifton); her siblings, Glenda V. Kortbein (Jim) of Gold Canyon, AZ, Earl C. Vann (Peggy) and Donald R. Vann (Connie) of Wade; and her sister-in-law Barbara H. Vann (June Barefoot Gibson) of Wade. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Skinner and Smith Funeral Home (905 Erwin Rd, Dunn, NC 28334). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
