He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Taylor Howell; his children, Billy Dale Howell (Carolyn) of Coats, Carolyn Bowden (Wayne) of Dunn, Elizabeth Heath (Roddy) of Wake Forest and Janet Hubert (Chris) of Fayetteville; his siblings, Martha Newsome (Gene) of Fayetteville and Charlie Howell (Frankie) of Clarkton; and his grandchildren, Billy Dale Howell, Jr. (Rachel) of Erwin, Ronnie Dale Howell of Erwin, Leslie Scally (Ryan) of Erwin, Brandon Bowden of Erwin, Sir, Pate (Megan) of Erwin, Josh Hubert of Fayetteville, Cheyenne Warren (John) of Virginia, Destiny Pate of Garner, Scott Maynor (Vickie) of LaGrange and Brad Maynor (Billie) of Erwin. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
