She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Maynor and Estella Maynor; her husband Herman L; her children, Captain Herman A. Chavis and Angela F. Chavis; and her siblings, Lois C. Maynard, Ernest Maynor and Milton Maynor.
She is survived by: her son Keith (Shanta Chavis); and her siblings, Jerry (Wanda Maynor) and Garlene Autry. She is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skinner & Smith Funeral Home Chapel (905 Erwin Rd, Dunn, NC 28334). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, all charitable donations may be given to Keith Chavis or made payable to Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
