It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Lillian Hill (Dudley, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina, who passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Lee Mooring and Maggie Wethington Mooring; her husband Burnice Hill; her daughter Connie Jane Hill; and her siblings, Bobbie Lucille Mooring, Sadie Mooring Wortham, Margie Mooring Jones, Judy Mooring Jones, Ralph James Mooring and Ray Benton Mooring.
She is survived by: her children, Martha H. Leathers of Rosewood and Jeff Hill (Tammy) of Rosewood; her grandchildren, Eric Leathers (Kristin) of Mt. Airy, Mark Leathers (Toral) of Odessa, Dr. Kayla Hill (Tim Blevins) of Raleigh and Luke Hill (Nidia) of Rosewood; her sister Peggy Mooring Jones; and her sister-in-law Doris Mooring McFatter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
