She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Ernest Barnes and Annie Mae Adams Barnes; and her husband William Bertus Blackman. She is survived by: her sons, Sherrill Blackman and Steven Blackman (Teresa); her siblings, Ernest Ray Barnes and Janet Dillard; and her grandsons, William Blackman and Chad Toler.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Love Memorial Baptist Church (192 Woodland Church Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27530). A burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at the Wayne Memorial Park.
