She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Capps and Lottie Yates Capps; her husband Earl Ray Hughes; her son Terry Ray Hughes; and her grandchild Torrie Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, Arthur Hughes, Kim Hughes (Bobby) and Cindy Pate; her sister Laura Faye Naylor; her grandchildren, William Kyle Pate (Abby) and Stacey Hughes; her great grandchild Lewis Pate; her caregiver Shelly Bailey; and her pet Nia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Howell Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel (1500 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534).
