She was predeceased by: her spouse William Harold Gurley; her son William Harold "Billy" Gurley, Jr.; and her brothers, Arnold Tingen, James Tingen and George Tingen.
She is survived by: her children, Sadie Gurley of Washington and Wayne Gurley (Wanda) of Goldsboro; her siblings, Dorothy Hathaway of Kinston, Iris Ginn of Pikeville, Brenda Holton of Beaufort, Martha Lane of Smithfield and Kenneth Tingen of LaGrange; her grandson Travis Gurley (Courtney); and her great grandchild Allie Rae Gurley.
