It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luther Adell Hartley (Dudley, North Carolina), who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Hartley and Lettie Turnage Hartley; his spouse Tempie Kearney Hartley; and his siblings, Leo Hartley, Carl Hartley, Ray Hartley and Aileen Holloman.
He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Hartley (Yvonne) and Rhonda Hartley Shumate (Wright); his grandchildren, Ashley Stroud (Chris), Jonathan Hartley (Sarah) and Amber Shumate; and his great grandchildren, Melody Stroud, Madelyn Stroud, Macy Stroud, Gideon Hartley and Micah Hartley.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). The military honors was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Wayne Memorial Park. A reception was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home (2873 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333).
