He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bryant Fields and Ava Elizabeth Gooding Fields; and his brothers, Ed Gooding and Earl Fields. He is survived by: his brother Herman Fields (Gay); and his nieces and nephews, Lora Thompson (Robert), Angela Blandford (Tripp), Tonja DeRosa, Ricky Fields, Stan Fields, Robert Gooding, Billy Gooding and David Lee.
