It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Morgan (Dudley, North Carolina), born in Fairfax, Missouri, who passed away on January 1, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Emery Morgan and Katherine E. Lutz Morgan; and his sister Ada Copeland. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Morgan; his children, Sonya Ross (Doug), Clint Morgan and Kelly Morgan (Bobby Reed); his siblings, Marty Morgan, Wesley Morgan, Gerald Morgan, Harold Morgan, Mary Long, Alma Morgan, Nancy Morgan and Kathy Morgan; and his grandchildren, Christine Eaton, Thomas Ross (Katie), Teagen Casey (Aaron), Chase Morgan, Walker Morgan, Sadie Morgan, Abigail Stevens, Jordan Reed and Nicholas Stevens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Brogden United Methodist Church, 2918 US Hwy. 117, Dudley, NC 28333 or the Boy Scout Troop 92, 105 Woodland Street, Dudley, NC 28333.

“In loving memory of Joseph Morgan, So many loving memories. But baseball is the 1st to come to mind. Whenever family gathered there was always a game of baseball. After my Daddy (Wm D), Uncle Charles & Uncle John passed & a thunderstorm with hail would pass, I say the Lutz Boys are playing ball (Uncle Charles was a "hot dog" on a basketball court). Since then Bob, Keith, Larry, Ada, Julie, Gary & now Joe have joined them. There's enough to play 'workup' with Julie to cheer. Watch for storms.”
