He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Serrano and Marta Cerritos. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Beltrand Cerritos; his children, Nelson Cerritos (Elizabeth) and Beatriz Ruiz; his siblings, Antonio Avalos, Marta Avalos, Guadalepe Santos and Elmer Avalos; and his grandchildren, Adelina Cerritos, Faith Cerritos, Michael Portillo and Sara Carter.
