He was predeceased by: his father Henry Bryant; his wife Gay Nell Smith Fields; and his brothers, Edward Gooding, Henry Earl Fields and Linwood Fields.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lora Thompson (Robert) and Angela Blandford (Tripp); his stepdaughters, Linda Trahan (Robert), Catherine Sager (David), Pamela Higgins (Mark), Samantha Kyser (Jeff), Dana Combs and Diane Rainwater (Jamie); his grandchildren, Michael Ordway, Matthew Thompson (Logan), Jackie Blandford, Emily Blandford and Kelly Blandford; his stepgrandchildren, Eric Trahan, Nikki Porter, Crystal Davis, Morgan Symons, Matthew Farris, Chaz Farris, Katie Ward, Rebecca Smitherman, Russ Beasley, Reid Beasley, Brent Cox, Ariel Cox, David Combs, Chelsea Chambers, Amanda Cloman, Jessica Owens, Audrey Norred, James Rainwater, Anna Belle Rainwater, Moseley Higgins and Leeann Myers; his stepgreat-grandchild J. D. Hines; and also Dominque Sullivan.
