She is survived by: her children, Frances Smith Whitfield, Durwood Smith and Melvin B. "Bunny" Smith; her brother Nathan Thomas Holland; her grandchildren, Louann Callahan and Lynette Pedersen; and her great grandchildren, Christopher Cartrette, Ryan Cartrette, Jordan Cartrette and Alex Pedersen.
