He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Edgerton and Thelma Rose Edgerton; his spouse Helen Pope Edgerton; his son Keith Edgerton; and his brother Robert Edgerton.
He is survived by: his son Curtis Edgerton of Castalia; his stepdaughter Gail Charles of Goldsboro; his siblings, Bill Edgerton of Goldsboro, Mike Edgerton of Dallas, TX, Nina Edgerton Leaming of Richmond, VA and Linda Pittman of Columbia, SC; his stepgrandchildren, Stephen Charles, Melissa McAllister and Christina Langley; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Braden McAllister, David Langely and Katelyn McAllister. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
