He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry Lewis, Sr. and Jessie Worrell Lewis; and his wife Mildred Daniels Lewis. He is survived by: his son George Chad Lewis (Donna) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Abi Lewis and Lexton Lewis; his brother Roger Lewis (Ruby); his stepsisters, Iris Swanick (Dennis) and Marsha Phillips (Dave); and his sister Annette Smith. He is also survived by several others nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery and respectfully reminds those attending the service to practice social distancing guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
