He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Eugene Russell and Ethel Christenbury Russell; and his siblings, Ernest Eugene Russell, Jr., Shirley Ann Russell and Faye Russell Taylor.
He is survived by: his significant other Claudia Farmer Russell; his children, James David Russell of Goldsboro, NC, Scott Douglas Russell, Michael Patrick Russell (Samatha) of Louisburg, NC and Cindy Russell Grady (Gary) of Mt Olive; and his grandchildren, Austin Grady, Amanda Carver (Aaron), Ashley Jones (Dwayne), David Clark Russell (Amy Thomas) of Sanford, Brantley, Millie and Rowan Russell of Louisburg, NC.. He is also survived by foster parent for many years. David's love for his wife, children.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Love Memorial Baptist Church (192 Woodland Church Rd, Goldsboro, NC 27530). Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 9th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
