He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cox and Phoebe Grantham Cox; his sons, Timothy Cox and Jason Cox; and his grandchild DJ Kimble.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Missy Wallace, Sandy Cox, Lucy Marr (Don), Tammy Hare (Jean), Stevie Herring (Shannon), Angie Dunn (Dale) and Fred Herring (April); and his grandchildren, Shannon Brown, Nikki Kimble (Anthony), Paul Hare (Brittany), Sarah Hare, Mary Dunn, Daniel Dunn, Ally Davis (Brandon), Emily Mobley (Malcolm) and Michael Herring. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
