With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Billy Aaron Thornton (Dudley, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Thornton and Maggie Thornton; his wife Ann Parks Thornton; his stepson Richard Clayton Wise; and his sister Virginia Lancaster.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Thornton Cerasi (Mike) of Fuquay Varina; his grandchild Casey Cerasi; his siblings-in-law, Kay and Bud Waters; his niece Barbara Aycock; and his nephews, Carl Edward Lancaster and Jeff Waters.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Wayne Memorial Park (2925 US-117, Dudley, NC 28333). Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
