She was predeceased by: her father Fonzer Buchanan; her husbands, Mack Reed and Chester Lucas; and her son Ernie Reed. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Propst (Wayne) of Morganton, Elbert Reed of Charlotte and Danny Reed (Judy) of Morganton, Debbie.; and her stepdaughters, Frances Baker and Ruth Helton. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
