She is survived by: her children, Chris Carswell (Megan) of Newton and Gretchen Holden (Scott) of Morganton; her brother Bud Byrd (Taru) of Drexel; her grandchildren, Taylor Holden, Josh Holden, Madi Carswell, Christon Carswell, Andrew Carswell, Lily Thompson and Noah Thompson; and her great grandchild Marlie Mojica.
