She was predeceased by: her parent Lloyd Conley Powell; and her husband Joseph Sharpe Ward. She is survived by: her parent Irene Griffin Powell of Drexel; her daughters, Libby Ward Arney and Dawn Ward Cline (Mike) of Morganton; her brother Lloyd Powell; her aunt Ollie Browning of Valdese; her sister-in-law Penny Ward of Morganton; and her grandsons, Neil and Kyle. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
