It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Ray Whisenant (Drexel, North Carolina), who passed away on March 19, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Whisenant and Mary Whisenant; and his sister Ruth Neely. He is survived by: his wife Betty Whisenant of Connelly Springs; his children, Danny Whisenant (Lorinda) of Connelly Springs, Ricky Whisenant of Claremore, OK, Revonda Maltba of Lenoir and Melinda Hastings (Ben) of Connelly Springs; and his siblings, Doris Wood and Robert Whisenant. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
