He was predeceased by: his parents, Heber Griffin and Emma Griffin; his wife Alberta "Tinsy" Griffin; and his siblings, Peggy Pridgen, Lucille White and Leslie Griffin Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Brad Griffin (Kathryn), Tammy Lilly (Alton Jr) and Rodolph Croom, Jr. (Cameron); his grandchildren, Colin, Braden Griffin, Ryan Croom (Danielle), Marvin Brandon Lilly (Allison) and Teri Jarman (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Anna Beth, Andy, Patience, Rhema and Micah.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lane's Chapel United Methodist Church, 12040 NC Highway 55 West, Dover, NC 28526.
