He was predeceased by: his parents, William Berry Jones and Callie Jones; his wife Faye Shelton Jones; his sisters, Lucille Jones Hinson and Bessie Jones Roach; his sister-in-law Mattie Jones; his daughter-in-law Melanie Jones; and his stepson Rodney Earl Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Leona Jones Willeford and Buddy Jones; his brother Robert Jones; his stepchildren, Cecilia Wayne, Shirley Bell, Darlene Mayo and Cecil McDaniel Brinson; his grandchildren, Heather Durham (Corey), Melissa Taylor (Gene), Robert Elks, Joyce Jones Barnett, Isaac Jonathan Jones and Jessica Harris; and his stepgrandchildren, Shawn Wayne (Dana), Curt Jenkins, Matt Jenkins, Amy Bell Lockwood (Earl), Jeremy Bell, Jennifer Brinson and Kevin Brinson. He is also survived by twenty step great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wintergreen Free Will Baptist Church.
