We are sad to announce that on May 28, 2021, at the age of 79, Thelma Tucker of Dobson, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Brady Trumble Riggs and Lila Snow Riggs; her husband Rev. Jimmie Ray Tucker; her grandson T. C. Simpson, Jr.; and her siblings, Dorothy Casey, Lorene Marion, Irene Collins, Elmer Riggs, Delmer Riggs and Junior Riggs.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy (Michael Tate), Donna (Rex Marion) and Kim (Joseph Diaz); her nephew Jeff Freeman; her grandchildren, Joshua Tate, Tabitha Jones, Andrew Mayes, Ryan Mayes and Tyler Mayes; her stepgrandchildren, Tara Marion Short, Kristi Marion Massey, Katelyn Diaz and Tripp Diaz; her great grandchildren, Abigail Hicks, Nolan Jones, Emerson Simpson, Mackenzie Grace Tate of Blakely Mayes, T. C, Simpson, III and Walker Mayes; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Keaton Massey, Max Short and Georgia Short; her siblings, Ellen Freeman and Frank; and her sister-in-law Jesse Riggs.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030, or to the donor's choice.
