It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Levia O'Dean Jester of Dobson, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 76, on August 10, 2021. She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Kenneth Jester; and her parents, Henry Speer and Roxie Bledsoe Speer. She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly Jester, Tracy Castro (Lenny) and Melissa Merritt (Darrell); her grandchildren, Will Castro (Melissa), Troy Castro and McKenna Merritt; her sister Joyce Prim (Guy); her aunt Faye Leupold; and her sisters-in-law, Violet Jester, Geneva Jester and Mary Josey. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In the current Covid environment, it will be required that all attendants to the service and visitation please wear masks while inside the church building.
Due to Dean's love of keeping the cemetery beautiful, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 431 Jenkinstown Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
