He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Vernon Smitherman and Annie Butner Smitherman; and his great grandchild Paislee. He is survived by: his wife Lyra Kay Smitherman; his daughters, Jennifer Jane Zamora (Jairo Ortiz) and Tabbetha Smitherman Slate (Danny Slate); and his brothers, Charles Smitherman and Michael Smitherman. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Anyone attending the Celebration of Life is asked to please wear a mask and follow proper Covid-19 guidelines and proper social distancing protocols.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Freedom and Liberty Worship Center Building Fund.
