He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edgar "Pete" Cave and Bessie Hodges Cave; his daughter Cynthia Annette Cave; and his brothers, Richard Alvin Cave, Roy Lee Cave and Delmar Cave.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Louise Reynolds Cave; his daughters, Sandy Cave Youngquist (Carl) and Shannon Cave Woppman (Melvin); his grandsons, Derrick James Woppman and Justin Ryan Woppman; his great grandchild Ryder James Woppman; his sisters, Peggy Flippen, Edith Flippen and Carolyn Bodenhamer; and his pet Shady. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, several brothers-in-law; several sisters-in-law.
