It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie Clayton Combs Jr. of Dobson, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Clayton Combs Sr. and Ruth Ellen Garris Combs; and his son Freddie Combs. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Stanley Combs; his daughter Angel Combs Woolard; his stepson Chris Cockerham; his grandchildren, Bynum Walston, Garrison Walston, Lindy Grace Walston, Maecy Jewel Woolard, Conner Cockerham, Bella Cockerham and Eli Cockerham; his great grandchildren, Ellie Walston and Ivey Walston; his sister Kathy Combs Money; his brother-in-law Buck; and his niece Micha Lineberry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
