It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eunice Marie Butcher Gilley of Dobson, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Connard Ervin Butcher and Flora Hazelwood Butcher; her son Joseph Curtis Gilley; and her siblings, Shirley Tilley, Dorothy Llewellyn, Larry Woodrow Butcher and Connard Butcher, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Joe Curry "JC" Gilley; her daughter-in-law Janet Money Gilley; her granddaughter Julie Rosann Gilley (Cody Myers); and her sister Billie Groce.
