With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel Smith (Dobson, North Carolina), born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on January 28, 2019 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Elbert Smith; and her siblings, Ruby Coe, Phoebe Coon, Geneva Wright, Ida Corbell, Nonnie Joyce, Charlie Hill, Joel Hill, Lester Hill, Bob Hill and Jay Porter Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Smith and David Smith; her daughter-in-law Pam Smith; her grandchildren, Heather Hammaker (Luke), Haley Efird (Gene), Hunter Smith (Katie Wall) and Ashley Mendenhall (Tim Scott); and her great grandchildren, Gracie Hammaker, Maddie Hammaker and Emersyn Efird.
