With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elmer Comer (Dobson, North Carolina), who passed away on March 26, 2018 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Theatrice "Sis" Childress, Janice Key, James Comer (Marylene Comer) and Delmore "Pete" Comer; his parent-in-law Bessie Key Pilson; his siblings-in-law, Alda Doby, Arnold Doby and Lettie Key; and also Brady M. Pilson.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Pilson Comer; his children, Rocky Comer of Wilson and Michelle Tutterow (Michael) of Spartanburg; his granddaughters, Alex Tutterow and Courtney Tutterow; his siblings, Irene Weavil (Max) of Winston-Salem and Clark Comer of Dobson; and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Comer of Dobson, Tommy Key of Dobson, Jack Key of Dobson and Faye Comer of Dobson.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Salem Fork Christian Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Monroe McCraw, 113 Gull Point Lane, Elkin, NC 28621; and/or to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
