He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Preston Bledsoe and Ola Marion Bledsoe; his sister Shirley Cox; and his brothers-in-law, J. E. Cox and Jackie Fuchs.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Miller Bledsoe; his daughters, Beth (Mike Flinchum) and Christie Bledsoe; his grandchildren, Blake Flinchum, Faith Flinchum, Johnathon Flinchum and Lorick Flinchum; and his sisters, Wanda (Ralph Jordan) and Wilma Fuchs.
