It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Eugene Gunter Sr. of Dobson, North Carolina, born in Henry County, Virginia, who passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Willard Gunter and Christine Donavant Gunter (Honeycutt); his wife Lou Gunter; and his siblings, Rodney Gunter and Dianne Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Gunter, Mike Gunter and Lisa Coleman (Brian); his grandchildren, Layne Heifrin (Kevin), BreAnna Jones (Luke), Mason Gunter and Adrianna Dillion; and his great grandchildren, Davin Talbott and Shep Jones.
